Chief Technology Officer Job Description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the IT department at PERA and support the Director General in implementing tech-based solutions to strengthen enforcement and digitization efforts. The CTO will develop and maintain IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity strategies across the organization.
Key Responsibilities of Chief Technology Officer
- Lead IT operations at PERA, including planning, implementation, and performance tracking.
- Supervise the software development team and ensure timely delivery of tech products.
- Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle and ensure adherence to international standards.
- Research new IT trends and develop innovative technology strategies for PERA.
- Ensure data and cybersecurity protection across all systems.
- Develop and manage Management Information Systems (MIS), GIS, and reporting dashboards.
- Monitor inter-departmental connectivity and ensure smooth digital communication.
- Recommend and implement new IT infrastructure solutions across Enforcement Stations and headquarters.
Qualifications & Experience for Chief Technology Officer
- Option 1: MS or M.Phil in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT (First Division) + 10 years relevant experience (4 years in public sector).
- Option 2: Master’s or BS (Hons) in Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT (First Division) + 12 years experience (5 years in public sector).
- Private experience accepted if company is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or another Regulatory Body.
